Just when I thought the Bengals couldn’t get any worse after an o and 4 start, they go and pick up another player in legal trouble. That’s right, not only is Chris Henry allowed playing in this week’s game; now Cedric Benson can join him on the field. I honestly believe that the Bengals organization is trying to p*ss their fans off enough that they can potentially move the team.
By taking back Chris Henry the Bengals made a statement that they didn’t care what the fans thought about the organization being the laughing stock of the NFL due to their legal troubles. Now after starting the season 0-4 and by picking up Cedric Benson the Bengals have simply slapped all the fans in the face. They obviously don’t want the Bengals to succeed and are pushing for their consecutive sell outs at Paul Brown stadium to vanish.
While I understand the strategic move of adding a decent (at best) running back to a struggling running back core, I still don’t think it justifies his off the field issues especially when we’ve already blown the season anyways.
As I’ve stated before I’m used to the Bengals being horrible and OSU being my crutch to fall on… Well this year NO ONE is giving them any love. While I understand that they lost to USC(the number one team at the time) and that required them to move down(from 3 to 14th), I don’t understand the moves this week at all.
USC, Florida, and Georgia all lost to teams that weren’t ranked number one this week (USC lost to an unranked team), yet they are still ranked ahead of OSU who won their game. While I understand that OSU isn’t blowing out their opponents especially since Beanie Wells went down, I can’t get over the fact that we didn’t move up one single spot this week after 3 top 10 losses. The fact that USC lsot to an unranked opponent and is ranked 9th is unbelievable and ludicrous. The AP poll has an always will be west coast based and this just proves it.Keywords: Bengals, Cedric Benson, Chris Henry, NFL, OSU, USC
