Beat the Jets baby!
Ok, so the Bengals are 0-5 and the season looks like a wash. Cincinnati travels to New York this weekend to play the Jets, who everyone is high on. I have news for all the people who think the Jets are going to ride Bret Favre to the division title or at least to the playoffs: The Jets were 4-12 last year. They traded away their best player in Jonathan Vilma. I do think Favre is a massive upgrade from Clemmons/Pennington (heck he threw 6 TDs in one game already this season), but i don't think that the Jets defense is good enough to get them there. That said, I think that Cincinnati has a really good chance of pulling out of New York at 1-5. I think that (assuming Carson plays) Cincinnati will throw all over the Jets D and get a few passing TDs, maybe even one for Chad. The addition of Chris Henry into the lineup should help, not to mention possibly giving Benson as many if not more carries than Chris Perry. The offensive line has been awful this season, but last week took a giant step forward against a much better D than the Jets have. Also, Cincy gets JJ back at corner, thus improving their chances to possibly contain the Jets air attack. I think that in the end this game will be a lot of fun as both QBs should have field days, but I feel that Cincinnati will win this weekend and come home with a 1-5 record. The year isn't quite over yet baby!
