Can the Bengals win a championship this year? And if so, what do they have to do? |
Don Michael Vickers May 31, 09 | Any chances of a championship would rely on Carson Palmer going back to Pro-bowl form. Our D which was solid last year would have to get even better. Cedric Benson would have to step up in a big way, along with Chad Ocho Cinco and Coles. Even then, we would need a little luck. |
Dan Salyers Sep 25, 09 | The best thing for Cincinnati winning a championship this year would be for them to learn to have a consistently strong offensive line. This group is untested and inexperienced, but if they can be dominant like they were against Green Bay, that will open up holes for Benson, give Carson time to pick apart the defenses (since they have great depth at receiver) and keep the defense off the field and fresh. The defense is instense and seems to be playing really hard (in all 6 games that they've played in so far this year), so I think they'll be a top 10 group anyways. Cincy should be 2-0, but if they can win 2/3 of their next 3 division games, then they'll rock it out. |
