eelers at Bengals

Bengals have made some noise this off season picking players like Roy Williams, Andre Smith, Laveranues Coles and Ray Maualuga.  Carson Palmer should be healthy and in shape by the time this game rolls around.  While all this is good, the problem with the Bengals has never been a lack of talent, rather a lack of discipline.  The fact that they will be featured on this year's Hard Knocks is no help to this problem.  Coach Marvin Lewis has proven of the years that he doesn't have what it takes to lead men.  I'll give the Steelers 9/10.

Andre Smith: Finally provides Carson with the quality blocking he needs to feel protected and throw the ball to the amazing receiving corps we have.  He will also open amazing holes for Cedric and whomever else Marvin Lewis decides to keep in the backfield.

So, after looking through this, I'm hoping and feeling confident that Cincy will draft either Andre Smith from Alabama or Eugene Monroe (as Baylor's guy looks to be taken in the first 5).  I'm also hopeful that they will take the best Center available in round 2 (38th overall).  These two picks would greatly help a garbage O-line in a division with some nasty defenses.  Carson needs to be protected to stay healthy and be the elite QB he was in 2005.  The other major issue with the Bengals is that they HAVE to resign T.J.  He's the anchor of that offense, and although Chad says TJ will be back, I'm afraid he doesn't want to come back.  Hopefully, Mike Brown will give TJ as much money as he wants to stay.  It's worth it.
